Virtual Gallery is an innovative platform that specializes in making investments in art, wine, and other collectible assets accessible to the general public. Their mission is to simplify and bring transparency to investing in conservative assets that offer stable appreciation with minimal risk. Based in the heart of Prague, the platform brings together an experienced team of experts focused on offering limited-availability, unique investment opportunities.
The project was created in response to traditional art and collectibles markets, which are often inaccessible to everyday investors due to high entry costs and complex transactions. There is also a high level of uncertainty related to the transparency of origin and authenticity of collectible assets. This is how Virtual Gallery was born.
Application growth without sustainable technology
The Virtual Gallery web application had been developed primarily on the backend side, which led to issues with user-friendliness and a lack of frontend stability. The complicated access and unintuitive interactions between users and the platform hindered the ongoing go-to-market strategy aimed at launching the service to customers at full scale.
The client approached us with the goal of creating a complete frontend that would reflect the unique nature of the product and be trustworthy, fast, and easy to use even for users without experience in alternative investments.
Building a blockchain frontend from scratch
We delivered a fully custom frontend layer for the application:

We designed and implemented a user interface for portfolio management, asset visualization, and platform navigation.

Strong emphasis was placed on fast loading times, responsive design, and intuitive controls.

In close collaboration with the client, we optimized the UX for different types of target users.
The result was a frontend ready for production use, which significantly improved the platform’s accessibility and enabled its full-scale launch.

Focus on detailed client requirements and their prioritization
By its nature, this project represents a highly specialized web platform. To achieve an effective implementation, we focused on the detailed requirements of our client.
The key stakeholders of this project were extremely busy, so it was crucial to correctly define the division of responsibilities, communicate requirements clearly, establish a hierarchy of features, and validate outcomes. To ensure a productive development process, we continuously refined these workflows through retrospectives, in line with agile methodology principles.
Blockchain certification and the backend components of the system were handled separately by the client’s team. Our collaboration focused exclusively on the frontend layer.
Adequate security and management
Virtual Gallery successfully overcame these challenges through the implementation of software that enables:
